Medical Liaison Teams - Successfully Creating the Path to Blockbuster
Case Study

The success of many major brands such as Lipitor, Lamisil, and Celexa are largely built on activities by medical liaisons that started long before the products were commercialized. There is an enormous amount of work that should go on prior to FDA approval and the direct sales activities kick in. Most companies now are starting to bring on a medical liaison team 18 months prior to anticipate product approval due to the success of the mega brands like the ones mentioned above. Medical liaison team outcomes also serve to distinguish a product through the right relationship building, strategic placement of clinical trials and overall thought leader development which is the primary focus of a medical liaison group.

This session delivered detailed case studies or processes and outcomes in the application of medical liaison teams.
